Raised in a progressive Brooklyn and Upstate NY family Ibrahim has spent his professional career at the intersection of organizing, the arts, youth development, education and philanthropy. A blogger and a WNYC sports contributor, he has also been published in ColorLines, WireTap Magazine, and Left Turn. , the Movement Strategy Center, and created Future5000.com, an online database of youth organizing. Ibrahim is also a full time community organizer and has worked with Green for All, where he has become a a passionate voice for transforming our pollution-based way of life to one that prioritizes our planet and its people. He currently focuses his work on building the intersections of prison reentry programming, youth development, and green jobs specifically in New York City amongst African-American Muslim men coming out of prison.
