Luke Forrest

Luke Forrest is the Public Policy Director for the Michigan Suburbs Alliance, a non-profit membership organization of Detroit’s inner-ring suburbs. In that capacity, he helped found the Southeast Michigan Regional Energy Office, a fledgling partnership that will allow local leaders to share resources and expertise across political boundaries in order to achieve greater energy savings. He also leads the
Alliance’s efforts to increase federal, state and local government investments in regional collaboration and economic redevelopment of older cities. Before joining the Alliance, Luke worked in Washington, DC as Legislative Assistant to U.S. Representative Lynn N. Rivers and as Assistant Director of Federal Relations at the National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges. He received graduate degrees in urban planning and real estate development from the
University of Michigan.
